I tried to think of an animal character who is flexible, has the \"San Fran\" vibe, and could be colored brightly. A flamingo was perfect! Green symbolizes health and peacefulness, so it's perfect for yoga.
I also carefully approached including \"hippie\" elements (as client requested) because it's pretty easy to look cheesy going that route. But while I doodled possibilities, I realized that the flamingo's foot looked just like a peace sign!! So I zeroed in on the peace sign only to avoid cheesiness.")
