The brand was designed to capture the market of fitness junkies, but also for professionals who are constantly on the move and wanting to eat healthier.
The final logo is clean and simple and the brand colors give off a very organic and fresh vibe.")

The family wanted the brand to have an updated look while still retaining its history and old-world charm. It needs to appeal to travelers both young and old as well as couples and families.
The logo was inspired by the black metal arches that surrounded the indoor pool. It has an intricate lattice pattern that you immediately get drawn to upon entering the house. This pattern was also spread out on wooden wall fixtures and railings, making it a very distinct feature and combining it with the brown and gold color and rustic serif font, has really captured the cozy and classic ambiance of the house. This became an inspiration for the rest of the brand identity.")

It is located within a residential area in the bustling city of Bacolod. It has a very modern, boho, laid-back atmosphere that serves as a relaxing place to chat and dine.
Comuna in Spanish, means community, and we really wanted the logo symbol to have that feeling of oneness. We took inspiration from the building façade and decided to incorporate a circle around it to symbolize that this is a place to soulfully gather and connect. We also paired it with a shade of blue that is vibrant yet calm that completes the overall vibe.")

It started as a personal project by the owner, but after getting requests from friends, she put up the brand to help people relieve stress, and anxiety, and to promote overall wellness. All products are handmade with love in small batches.
We came up with different kinds of concepts but have decided to keep the image bold with freehand shape cutouts to still give it a very organic feel. We enclosed it in a circle so the image would be more defined and have a sense of wholeness. And we also complemented it with a mauve color that gives the overall brand a grounding and relaxing tone.")

Taking inspiration from their own work, the final logo and concepts were created with a mixture of bold shapes as well as clean lines. This was a play between space, separation, and continuity, and combining all three ideas to form one prominent symbol.")

Derived from its namesake, Mortise & Tenon are joints that connect two pieces of material together and are most commonly used in woodwork. The pieces are often glued together and interlock in a very seamless way, resulting in a very strong and durable connection and aesthetically pleasing design.
With that in mind, the logo symbol was envisioned to follow the same concept. The initials, M & T, were added in a very thin and subtle way to emulate wood grain, and its interlocking pieces blend smoothly together to form just a singular box shape.")

Instead of a solid shape, I added gaps in between so that light can pass through it which would be a great symbolism for the brand name.")
