This label was for a small craft brewery in Tega Kay, South Carolina. The Roaring 20's and American Prohibition era serve as the inspiration for their visual aesthetic.
We went with some vintage-type treatment along with a 1930 Ford Grill as a visual touchpoint. We knocked out the white underlay to achieve an aged-brass look to accent the type and flourishes.")

Process-wise. I always begin in pencil and paper, then I move to a raster program such as Procreate or Photoshop to do my sketching. I finally move into Adobe Illustrator to finish the graphic in vector format.")

This is a beer label I knocked out for a collaboration between the Sturgis Brewing Co. and the Sturgis Mustang Rally. The Sturgis Mustang Rally takes place on Labor Day weekend and is the second largest event in Sturgis behind the world-famous Motorcycle Rally.

The Ford Mustang was named after the WW2 fighter plane, the P-51 Mustang. They gave me free rein on the artwork, only stating that “it should have a mustang in it”. They came up with the name at the end of the creative process. I went with the blocky stencil letters as a nod to the numbers stenciled on the fighter planes.
