The care the owners have for their pets and the care that the pets recieve when they are getting treatment. There is also a nice use of negative space in the heart. It's the tail of the cat and also completes the heart shape.
The dog is showing a paw which is also another way that pets show they are hurt or need attention.
The pets are looking upwards, to suggest that they are looking to their owners for help.")

This is an organic design because it's a combination of two things. A leaf and the matrix of the mitochondrion which is something the client asked to incorporate into the mark..
The colors also make it feel natural.
Typography is simple and very easy to absorb. I've chosen a sans serif as these types of fonts are easy to read (even at business card scale). Legibility and readability have been taken into account.
I've also included a pattern of the mark.")

I started with an 8-bit look but opted to soften the corners so it's a bit more modern. Someone showing you an open hand means stop, think twice or refrain.
