Our company manufactures and sells consumer goods to retailers. We need a classy web site with a unique look that portrays our brands and products.
This contest includes one page (landing page after retailers log in) and a logo.
After the contest, I want to work with the winning designer to develop the rest of our site. This includes 10-20 additional sub-pages (using the same header / right column / footer), at a rate of roughly $100 per page.
What we do: We are a large wholesaler of consumer goods. You can see our current (outdated) web site here: http://www.ritelite.com
Current Goals: Our new site will look nothing like our current site. Both design & functionality will be completely different. This design should be sharp and catchy, and, more importantly, easy to use and navigate.
Contest Details: One part of our site allows retailers to log in and shop for our products. This contest is for the main page of that store ($500) and an updated logo ($100). If you win for both, you get the full $600.
What I Want: We need one page that will be the starting page for our storefront. I created a very bare mockup of the elements that I need on the web page. You can find that here: http://www.ritelite.com/99designs/1/example.gif
This layout is just a guide; I want to see some creativity.
We will be using AJAX for some drop downs & popups. On this page, the "Shop By Catalog Code" link will drop down a layer to enter item codes. You can see the idea here: http://www.ritelite.com/99designs/1…p_down.gif
Other Resources: If you want to use some of our products for inspiration or in the design, please use our current web site or download this zip file of some products: http://www.ritelite.com/99designs/1/Images.zip
Deliverables: Layered PSD file with editable effects. (For example, if you created a gradient for a button, I want to be able to edit that gradient.)
- classy & attractive
- simple navigation
- good usage of pictures
- blue color theme (but not too heavy)
- loud colors
- copy of our current site with a few touchups
