JHaswell avait besoin d'un nouveau design de page web et a lancé un concours sur 99designs.
Un gagnant a été sélectionné de 19 designs proposés par 8 designers freelance.
Simraceway.com
simraceway.com is an online racing environment in which you can race other users for cash prizes (as high as $7,500) using over 800 cars and tracks - Think Gran Turismo 5 meets Partypoker.com.
The racing environment uses a high fidelity physics engine to provide a race experience closer to simulation, than video gaming. This means the key difference between us and traditional driving games ( gran turismo, Forza, Need for speed etc) is that we spend our bandwidth and processing power budget on physics accuracy, not visual flair.
The target audience is aspirational 20-40 yr old competitive males who have an interest motor racing or video gaming.
REQUIRED ELEMENTS
this page will act as the users primary interface to manage their installed racing games and game related assets. The key assets it needs to manage are;
Games
It's possible for users to have multiple game clients installed just as it is in a steam account see http://store.steampowered.com/.
For each game installed the section will need to show game name, icon, date purchased, original file (in case of re download need) and serial code.
Cars
This section will show the cars the user has downloaded and currently has installed. For each car they have installed the following data needs to be displayed - car name, creator of the car (which may be us, a publisher or even another user), date created, option to reinstall or deinstall. star rating of the car and miles the user has raced in it.
Tracks
This section needs to show the same data as for cars.
Skins
Skins are different paint jobs for cars, which users can download and apply to their cars, see examples here;
http://rfactorcentral.com/skins.cfm
In this section all the users skins need to be visible. NOTE : please note that you, as the designer, have discretion to make this either a distinct section or part of the cars section (as all skins link to cars)
"Apple Genius" style recommendations window
We'd like a window somewhere in the page that allows us to fire recommendations and related content to the user based on the car, track, game or skin they are currently viewing. For instance if viewing a car we may display a new car also created by that publisher. This element needs to be persistent through the experience.

DESIGN STYLE;
The design should match the basic style you see in the current site - http://www.simraceway.com but also take note of the designs that scored 4stars or more in our previous competition here;

Also please note we are big fans of the apple itunes interface and think this is a great starting point for this design. Bascally this translated to the simraceway look and feel would work well. However please note we will not be deploying coverflow.
Feel free to ping us any questions and we'll respond promptly.
If you need screenshots of any sort, depending on your design, feel to use them from the page that already exists, or new ones from this location:
