Premium, energetic estate agency is relaunching its website to showcase a range of the finest homes in London and to reinforce a brand positioning of being local experts, summarised under the line 'We Live Here'. The site should be clean, simple, must not be too text-heavy, and should look extremely professional.
We need a landing page design, and also to see how that design would work on a 'content' page, such as the 'contacts' page or 'latest news'.
On the landing page, the three main functions of the website must be 'Buy' 'Rent' and 'Valuations', and users should be able to see that these are the three main areas of the site, but should also be able to 'quick search' properties via a keyword search engine on the landing page itself (i.e. similar to google - no drop down menus or tick boxes, just text entry and 'search')
The site should feature local imagery and the logo (both supplied by email on request) as well as being in the corporate colour scheme (pantone 2727 and white). Other sub links should be:
Why Choose Us?
The landing page should feature a 'Latest News' section. This should feature a small image and local news story. Please use the below copy as place holder:
Wandsworth Common Refresh!
This week to celebrate our fabulous new Bellevue Road offices, we've been helping to refresh the commuters of Wandsworth Common. If you were one of the commuters who was handed a free bottle of James Pendleton water then we hope it made your journey a little bit more comfortable...
The words 'We Live Here' in CAPS Ariel Black, kerned -8% should sit on the main central image in pale blue.
The remaining copy should be in a consistent font, looking smart and professional. Please refer to http://www.marshandparsons.co.uk (particularly to see how they have used large images and a text search box) and http://www.savills.com (which is sleek and professional) as two examples of sites that are liked. The current site is http://www.jamespendleton.co.uk and this should give you a good idea of colour scheme, logos etc.
We would ideally like to see how the landing page looks, plus one other 'designed' page (e.g. a contacts page).
Nothing too 'curvy' or 'childish' as it has to look sleek and professional. The page should not be too copy-heavy or complicated, and should simply draw the user in with a lead image, and then guide them to the three main options or the quick search.
