Steve4000 avait besoin d'un nouveau design de page web et a lancé un concours sur 99designs.
Un gagnant a été sélectionné de 64 designs proposés par 24 designers freelance.
Design home page and one inside page for a new health and fitness website. Design only, no coding. We are looking for a modern, clean design and are open to imaginative ideas. The site will use a logo created from a recent 99designs logo contest.
keepfit.co.uk
This is a design contest for a home page and one inside page for a new fitness, diet and health web site. Layered PSD file to be delivered, no coding.
The key focus of the site is in creating a community where people can support each other and get help and ideas for exercise, diet and healthy living with an emphasis on long term support, rather than quick fixes. The design should reflect a friendly, supportive group environment. It is not an aggressive 'pump the abs' type fitness site or a quick fix "drop 20lbs in 3 days" diet site. There is a slightly stronger leaning towards a female audience, but not exclusively female.
As a general style think curves and not straight lines, complementary colours and not contrasting, clean clear space and not too cluttered. However we are open to imaginitive ideas.
We have recently had a logo designed through 99designs and this should be used as the basis of the colour scheme for the site.
Logo is available here in a variety of formats:

We have also created a simple mock up for the site. This is intended to highlight key elements and is not a design that you have to follow:
http://www.keepfit.co.uk/dev200807/mockup1.jpg
Within this mock up we have:
Logo and top banner. On the home page the banner (assuming you choose to have one) should have an interesting design, but for the inside pages it will normally be replaced by a 768x90 leaderboard advert.
Main menu (shown in the mock up as tabs). The tab headings are not what we will be using so please just use dummy text for now. The number of main menu items will expand over time so allow some space for expansion. We will also have a javascript flyout sub menu for each menu item on the coded site.
Main area has two parts. In green there is a BMI calculator with some text about it and results displayed using AJAX.
In lilac there are three areas for some introduction / welcome text, a list of recent articles and a small tabbed area for recent comments, blogs etc.
At the very bottom there is an area for including general links, discliamers etc.
This is intended to give an idea of the content rather than dictate design.
Page width should be fixed and optimised for 1024 screen.
For the inside page there will be a sub menu list, probably along the left side and space for a 160x600 advert along the right side. This inside page is only for articles so the central space will be filled with text. The finished site will have different types of internal page but for this contest only an article page is required.I envisage that it will reuse design elements from the home page
(I know that design contests are meant to be for one page only, but these are so closely related that it seemed to make sense to do them at the same time. To save wasting your time I suggest not designing an inside page unless your home page gets 4 or 5 stars.)
Any questions, please ask. Thanks.
