A new design is needed for ebookgiant.com. The other sites in this niche look crappy so we want to start with a sharp design that will make us stand out. We don't have many specific requirements so you will have a lot of leeway to be creative.

We want this design to be AWESOME! This will be the ultimate ebook resource around and it needs to reflect it. The existing websites that are out there are really just crap and we have no desire to join them. This is where you come in. We want something modern and unique!
The website will have 1000s of free ebooks for download. We want people to be able to browse by author and/or title. We want you to design the landing page. There will of course be a featured ebook and ebooks can be rated by visitors.
We need an ad banner at the top and in the sidebar (you choose left or right)
Every page will also have alphabetical links across the top of them to link to author pages by last name. You can see an example of this at ebookgiant.com.
Look and feel: modern, clean, 2.0 esque
Colors: up to you J
Search engine friendliness is important so any links, including tabs if you use them, must be able to be text based.
