Spride Share
Looking for a painless way to make some extra cash? Consider sharing out your car. Spride Share, a Bay Area-based startup, allows vehicle owners to share their cars with pre-screened Spride Share members. Think of it as Zipcar, but with personal cars.
We are targeting an urban, 20s - 30s, eco-friendly, Internet savvy audience that is primarily based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The site has to appeal to a savvy web 2.0 audience.
We are building a Ruby on Rails web application that will enable car owners to share their vehicles to trusted individuals. Think, Airbnb.com for cars.
We want a clean and attractive interface that is easy to read and understand. Focus should be on usability and simplicity with visually appealing colors. Take time into thinking about the presentation of information flow.

You can see wireframes of the application at:

1.) Landing Page - The landing page needs to convey the service using images, text and service. Use of cars to convey the product is a good thing. We were thinking of using this wordpress theme for our landing page. http://bit.ly/spridehome. This will help you think of some ideas. We want creativity here!
2.) Car Owner Sign Up (https://gomockingbird.com/mockingbi…2l7/HfwF0e) - The focus on this page should be on how to present information in a form that is intuitive, clean and clear.
3.) Dashboard (https://gomockingbird.com/mockingbi…2l7/AgVQHl)
The Dashboard should also be thought through from a user experience that is simple and clean.
http//www.spride.com - we don't really like this website. It was created quickly and as a temporary placeholder.
Sites we like include: Airbnb.com, zipcar.com, whipcar.com, skyara.com
