Overview: IMBA (Independent Mortgage Brokers Association of Ontario) is an association that represents independent mortgage brokers in the province of Ontario.
IMBAâ€™s value and reasons for existing are as follows:
1.Â Â Â Â Â Voice of the Independent Mortgage Broker. IMBA represents the best interests of the brokerage community in the province of Ontario to ensure a level playing field for its membership.
2.Â Â Â Â Â Education/Career Development. IMBA is the primary source of Education and Career Development support for the Independent Brokerage community
3.Â Â Â Â Â Value Added Services. IMBA provides its membership with valuable, value added services such as insurance, affinity and marketing support programs that its members would be hard pressed to develop on their own
4.Â Â Â Â Â Networking Opportunities. IMBA eventsallow Independents to extend their reach with other brokers and industry partners. These events promote cooperation and a sense of pride in the profession.Â Â

Goals for this website are:
Generate sales - IMBA markets itself to prospective brokers and consumers. IMBA has a target membership of 5000 (from 1600) by 2010. IMBA also generates revenue by holding events and seminars and by Â providing career development and educational services.IMBA will also provide marketing services to its membership to assist member companies to grow their revenues.
Encourage inquiries - IMBA will encourage inquiries from prospective brokers and consumers.Â
Gain newsletter subscribers - IMBA will actively grow its marketing data base, with a newsletter being one of the offers/vehicles to grow its data base.
Obtain information from your audience - IMBA will continually gather information from its membership, prospective members and consumers in order to effectively market the value of the association and its members.
Encourage them to tell a friend - Referrals will be used to generate new members and qualified leads for its member brokers.
