Audrey Rothschild avait besoin d'un nouveau design de page web et a lancé un concours sur 99designs.
Un gagnant a été sélectionné de 93 designs proposés par 10 designers freelance.
I started my interior design business in 1990. It was an outgrowth of a specialty retail store which sold decorative accessories and provided custom silk floral arrangements. I branched out into fresh floral design and then expanded to interior design when my clients asked for it. This prompted me to go back to school, and I got a certificate in Interior Architecture from Maryland Institute College of Art.
I love my job and I see it as a way of improving the quality of my clients' lives. We work together as a team to create a home they want to come home to and be together in.
I am passionate about the design process, the elements and principles of design and my relationships with my clients. I have mentored many other designers-to-be and I have taught at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) so I can pass on this passion.
My target audience is homeowners, aged 28 – 88, who really care about their home environment and want to work with a designer in order to make their home comfortable, functional and a true reflection of themselves.
* Site will be built on WordPress, so the design should be mindful of WP templates/themes and their limitations/capabilities
* Design should include a unique splash page to be shown before home page.
This page does not need to reflect the same page grid as content pages, but it should feature images from my portfolio, and ideally my logo as well;
* Site will consist of 5 pages after splash page; each page should be distinctive in some way:
- home (my design philosophy)
- about me (bio and contact form)
- how I work
- my portfolio
- blog
* Portfolio to be organized by room type, (living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, family rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, children’s rooms) and each category must support a minimum of 20 images without seeming cluttered
* Partial portfolio and logo can be found here http://picasaweb.google.com/jimroth…eat=email#
* Sites of local competitors for reference are http://patricksutton.com/ and http://jenkinsbaer.com/. What I like about these sites is that they invite the viewer in with elegant simplicity and gentle movement;
* The site will be a showcase of my work, (see portfolio) so the web design should not detract or distract from the images, it should draw attention to the images and put them in the best possible light.
The design should be in .ai or .eps format.
* Please provide links to similar/comparable work you have completed recently
