The idea here was to 'recreate the light bulb'. More specifically to present this ubiquitous symbol in a new, interesting form that captures its widely-known connotations of creativity, intelligence and innovative thinking. This possibly reminds some of the figure of speech known as 'the brightest bulb in the bunch'.
