Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway - acwr.com
we are a small railroad in North Carolina that moves freight across our 150 miles of track. This is our second calendar ever, and we received great support from the first. We will be sending these to potential customers, politicians, current freight customers, and of course the rail fans. We're trying to get across the message that we are a small railroad with the professionalism of a large railroad. We also want to show thanks to our employees by having them included in the calendar.
new/potential customers- manufacturers and distributors of various products/materials (renewable fuels, lumber, rock, plastics, finished goods, etc)
politicians- We want to show them who we are and what we do, and how railroads benefit North Carolina's economy.
current freight customers- they include poultry producers, fuel distributors, lumber manufacturers, rock quarry operations, and other manufacturers. We want to show them that we appreciate their business.
the rail fans- probably the easiest to please....we just have to give them pretty pictures of our newly painted locomotives.

designer can choose to design the calendar for either 8.5 x 11 or 9 x 12...whichever he/she feels looks best given the photos I have supplied.

take photos, captions, and caption photos and organize them into a calendar that fits our brand.
You are free to be as creative as you'd like. You can add your own stock photos to captions/backgrounds where you see fit. Also feel free to crop or modify the colors/hues of the main picture and caption pictures....although you probably don't want to make it too funky.
last year's calendar we did ourselves:

I would like for the calendar to make Sunday the first day of the week.
I may make tweaks to the captions, images, etc throughout the week so check my comments under the 99 designs page.
multiple psd's may work, although I would prefer the finished product to be in Adobe Indesign, Microsoft Publisher, or Quark Express. When I submit it to 48hour print, it needs to be in a pdf file.
Here are the templates for the formats I mentioned, which include the correct bleeds and everything:
Microsoft Publisher: http://www.48hourprint.com/publishe
Adobe InDesign: http://www.48hourprint.com/indesign
Quark Express: http://www.48hourprint.com/quarkxpr
