Living Life As An Exclamation Point!
I am looking for something quirky, maybe with a lighthearted and inspirational undertone. It should be charismatic, metaphors are okay, and I would love to find someone who can channel my Inner Sassy Comic. It should definitely jump up and say, "WOW!"
Short intro is attached, to give you an idea of the flavor.
The book has some funny personal stories, and research from 100s of success coaches, therapists, and focus groups about how to flip teardrops on their head and turn them into exclamation points -- that ANY negative can be turned into a positive. It's filled with transformational exercises.
The primary message of the book is this -- when you know who you are and what you stand for, then you don't make wrong choices. And when faced with a choice, always choose in favor of what gives you an exclamation point (not what gives you a question mark over your head). It's a book about beingness ... and how optimism, as a core way of being, creates opportunities!
It's interesting that I've been searching out some jewelry I can wear at speaking engagements .. did you know that finding exclamation point jewelry is impossible? I can find stars, question marks, and hearts, but no exclamation points. It's a sad commentary on our society. I've literally bought teardrop jewelry, and then taken the pieces to a jeweler to have them re-made into exclamation points!
Anyone interested in optimism as a way of life. Anyone who has faced invalidation and suppression, and wants to attract more positive people into their space. Anyone interested in transformation. Anyone who believes that beingness is more important than doingness.
The book cover should translate easily into a website design.
I visited this website http://www.smashingmagazine.com/200…aperbacks/ and these are the covers that spoke to me:
A Perfect Mess -- the quirkiness, the colors, and the simplicity
A General Theory of Love -- the two chairs tell the entire story
Magical Thinking -- the image is unexpected
Cigarette Century -- it'd be cool to line up exclamation points into an image
Super Capitalism - it'd be cool to transform a teardrop into an exc point
The Trouble With Psychics - unexpected upside down image
I'm not married to any one idea, and am completely open to possibilities! It could be an image of a person, or even of sparkly jewelry.
