Can You Say "Fun" in a Design?

Rock City

We are a church beginning a fun production for children. The program is a drama that takes place in a high-tech "clubhouse" setting and will include upbeat music, hilarious stunts and engaging characters that weekly teach kids virtues. Three of the main concepts are wisdom, faith and friendship.
The feel we are looking for is more of a "Rock on" type feel as opposed to actual stone rocks. Our personality is contemporary with a value on excellence.

We are aiming to create a perception that church is a fun place for elementary age kids (k-5th grade) so they will want to come and invite all their friends. We also want the parents to think, "what a great place to bring my kids! They will learn lots of good things here."

We are looking for a logo to represent Rock City for a variety of uses from t-shirts to banners to screen images

Pretty open to design elements but not looking for something super "churchy" More like something they would see on Nickelodeon

We want it to be fun and appealling to kids but skewed to older elementary age. Nothing pre-schoolish. It has to say "cool" not "cute"

The color pallette we are working with is Plum, Lime Green, Cantelope with possible accents in red or aqua. Can provide exact colors.

Would like to see some stars worked into the design
