We're a photography magazine located in San Francisco, looking for a new design to spruce it up, give it a new feel and direction.

Our audience is a full range of photographers, from students to photography enthusiasts to ad agencies. We'd love to find the perfect balance to continue to grow our readership and reach. Currently, we target a U.S. audience, however, we have members all across the world who subscribe.
The content is migrating to more substance and less of a photo catalog feel. So, articles and graphics are essential to bringing this all together. We'd like to have a design / logo that has high impact with each image we choose for the cover, per month.
The magazine promotes photographers who may or may not be professional. However, our goal is to target more ad agencies and
push it towards gaining advertisers, so we need a polished look to
The logo should convey the following elements:
Feel free to create something new and edgy, without going over the top.
Please note: While it seems like a good idea to use a camera in the logo, we've gone down that road and would prefer a logo that DOES NOT use a camera icon element. :)
