Bars et boîtes de nuit
Description de l'application
Our app allows the user to see real-time updates on bars and nightclubs including how crowded they are, the male/female ratio, and other crowd demographic information. We also allow the user to see which of their Facebook friends are at a given bar/nightclub at that moment, decreasing the uncertainty involved with Facebook event RSVPs and plans made earlier in the day or week. We take the guessing out of going out.
Quel style et quel thème avez-vous en tête pou app?
We really want to stress that we want this to feel unique and fun. Something people will remember when they see it. We aren't just going for something sleek that looks like it belongs in the app store. We want something personable. The wireframes are a guide for what information needs to be presented on each page. They do not have to be followed strictly. We really want a creative interpretation of how these elements can be arranged and presented.
We would like our app to be friendly, exhibit energy, and be playful, yet at the same time be clean and cool. Our company is highly focused on trustworthiness and having a personal touch for the user. Many applications and tools in the nightlife space attempt to be exclusive, edgy and sleek by using black, dark backgrounds, stock bar images and neon accent colors so we are trying to avoid this. We are providing information on user's friends and recommendations on where to go to have fun, so we want to be a little more open and friendly but also maintain a feeling of energy, coolness and something to reflect the nighttime period when the app will predominantly be used. We are open to artistic interpretation, but late sunset/dusk color palates may be applicable. It also may be nice to have a lighter and more neutral base color and use a little more energetic and fun accents to highlight icons and important features in the app. We are targeting college kids to begin, so we want the app to look impressive, feel professional and cool, but also be fun and relatable since we are playing in the friends and fun space.

Descriptions des écrans
The homepage will be the bar list screen. This is where the user will see a list of local bars, each bar's real-time rating on how good it is, and then a preview of which friends are at that bar (FB photo of each of top three friends and then the number of other FB friends). There will be a search icon in the top right corner that will expand in some fashion upon being clicked to prompt the user to search for bars or friends. There will also be a dropdown icon in the top left corner that will reveal three options when clicked (home, manage my friends, and settings). We are envisioning the top bar to be the largest element in the list, the second bar listed to be second largest, and then every bar after be smaller still but a uniform size for the rest of the bars in the list. We are also open to creative arrangement of the three elements being displayed for each bar (does not necessarily have to be arranged as indicated in the wireframes). Unique ways to order the bars beside being in a traditional list might be interesting as well.
When a user clicks on a bar from the list, they will be taken to the other page (the bar info page). Here we will be presenting the bar name, the neighborhood it is in and the distance to that bar, a button to order an uber to that bar, the real time information including how crowded it is and male/female ratio, a custom message we will write describing in more personal detail how that bar is, and then finally a list of friends at that bar at that moment. We would like the friends section at the bottom to be very prominent and take up significant space on the bottom of the screen. Here FB photos of friends at the bar will be displayed and the user will be able to scroll horizontally within that element to continue looking at friends. We want the information to feel alive as if it is being actively updated when the user comes to the screen (might be done through animation). This way it does not feel static but rather truly reflects that the information is being update in real-time every time the user arrives on the page.
Google Image search "nightlife app" and you will see what we don't want. We want to avoid very dark and sleek color schemes and feels. We don't want to try to be edgy and exclusive. We want to avoid being too cartoony as well.
