The NBC Peacock...the CBS "Eye" -- simple, bold, powerful. Can you top them?
CLIENT[delete/search engine prevention]ELEVISION.com
Desired Color Scheme:
compatible with site design
Desired Style:
Clean, Simple, Bold
Accepted File Formats:
Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff)
Assignment: Our network seeks a logo that derives its impact from bold simplicity; a clean logo that conveys the power of a major national television network, suitable for use on our broadband video site and in other promotional materials, be they online or in print. It will also be used as an overlay on the videos themselves, as our favicon and in B&W print, so it is important that the logo work in a monochromatic application as well as it does in color.
Site: CLIEN[delete/search prevention]TELEVISION.COM.
Description: You should familiarize yourself with the site by visiting the URL, watching our videos and gaining a true appreciation for our mission in assisting consumers and small business owners with practical guidance on a range of important topics. While the current focus is to enhance understanding of the law, future expansion into allied fields is likely, so you should NOT use "legal" symbols like gavels or scales of justice.
Themes: You will notice that the site is shaped to resemble a file cabinet, containing files that, when clicked, start videos which echo the very same graphical theme. So, think "file folder" AND television (perhaps combining the two in the design), so that you may create a bold logo that may incorporate the name of our site, but which could stand on its own as a symbol or icon of our network. Without any idea on how or whether it should influence your design, I would also observe that the site's name combines a few keywords: CLIENT, CLIENTELE and TELEVISION.
Color Scheme: Should be compatible with the overall website colors. We consider it the job of a professional designer to exercise sound judgment in graphical selection, gradiants, chrome finishes, etc. However, as stated above, the bold, simple design should work well in applications which do not utilize colors (i.e., overlays on videos, favicons, B&W print).
Design Elements: Complex designs with fine lines and similar flourishes are not likely to capture the interest of our editorial team. The network is seeking bold, powerful and simple IMPACT, which stays true to the sites mission of helping "clients" understand the legal, business, financial and consumer issues confronting them every day.
Future Work Likely: As the needs of a growing network are multifaceted, the winning designer, and others whose work impresses the network, will be considered for additional logo and graphical design work.
