While most mortgage brokerages are B2C, creating their companies around marketing directly to the consumer, Orion Home Loans is marketing directly to Loan Originators (self-employed) to attract and recruit them to our platform. These Loan Originators are self-sufficient and do not need training, are sales stars, have their own book of business, receive referrals constantly and for having these abilities, they are rewarded handsomely with our commission structure. They receive 100% of the commission they charge putting Orion Home Loans as one of the highest-paying mortgage brokerages. We provide the banking relationships they need in order to succeed and have a system in place that is easy to use. Unlike our competitors, we do not have mandatory web meetings, teleconferences, trainings and sales quotas. Our Loan Originators appreciate that and are happy to have the extra time to close more deals or spend it doing as they please.
Our website, once complete, will be the most important piece of our company. As we are earth-friendly and will attempt to go completely paperless, our logo and site must reflect this. Natural, organic, green and environmentally-friendly are not just buzz words to us. They are a part of our lifestyle.

Sales stars that are money-hungry individuals but put ethics over all other rewards. They do the right thing. Age range varies though we've found that the 25-40 age range is typical. They are well connected in the industry, have many contacts and their own book of business. While over half of mortgage originators in the industry earn 50% of the commission or less, our originators earn 100% and therefore have to work less if they choose or work the same and double their income. Time is typically their most valuable currency.
Our Loan Originator's clients are First-time homebuyers, Second-home or Investment-property buyers, Refinancer's, Commercial Real Estate Gurus, friends, family members. In terms of wealth, the clients are anywhere from "just-getting-by" to "which lear jet should I buy?" It all depends on their network.
The Loan Originators are the center of the hub for the following people in each transaction: Title and Escrow Agents, Appraisers, Real Estate Agents, Loan Processors, the Borrower/Client, and the Bank (which includes Wholesale Reps, Underwriters, Funders)
As Orion Home Loans is the face that our Loan Originators' clients see, be it on the web or on their business card, the logo must be universal. Not just for B2B, but B2C as well.
We are thinking of the part of Constellation Orion, the Belt, that consists of 3 stars, with the center star being the brightest.
Typeface should be clean and sharp, not cutesy and fun.
Things to note about the design:
1. No stars that could be mistaken for religious symbols, e.g. Star of David or Anagram
2. No "spacey" or "star trek-y" styles.
3. Keep it clean and modern. The next step for us will be website design and we'd like for it to coordinate. Our system is our profit center and it's clean and simple, so our logo and site should reflect this.
4. Colors are your choice. We will critique afterward and get it narrowed down. Be creative with this but do ensure that the colors are web-friendly and match using a color wheel.

Reason: jumbled, hard to see, terrible on print
