The business has been running for almost 27 years, yet to this day has NEVER had a logo to define who and what the business is about.
The name of the business is somewhat misleading too, but due to customers knowing who they are and trusting the product, there has been no need to change it.
The business specialises in the wholesaling of plumbing and electric fittings, mainly in PVC (not brass!). Being a wholesaler, the company represents many leading brands in their market so delivers high quality product to the plumbing and electrical trade.
The business is well respected, and is looking to get a facelift and increase it's share of the market through better presentation and (finally) a brand identity that we need you to be part of.

The target market is largely existing clients, but we need to be careful not to frighten them off or think that the business is now under new management.
The brief is to provide existing customers confidence that it's business as usual (just with a new look and feel) and provide confidence to potential new clients that the business is forward thinking and has a brand identity.
The target market is largely blue collar due to the nature of the industry, builders, plumbers, electricians and contractors within the building sector. They are honest sorts of people that are not into BS and the logo should be strong to reflect that.
What we need is clear and concise logo that utilises the business name Brassware Agencies and has a graphical element to support it.
We don't want overtly IT/banking sector/medical looking logos, it has to be more simple than that.
At the same time, please DO NOT supply concepts that contain clip art, cartoons or any other animation, these will automatically be eliminated from the competition. Be warned!
The great thing is there is nothing to compare the concept to. There has not been a logo which means you do not have to work within set colour palettes, dimensions or layouts. There is no website so don't trouble yourself looking around for one to find out more information (although this WILL be another competition once the logo is sorted!).
