I am an award winning reporter launching a website that will be driven by - but not limited to - interviews with people who have achieved some measure of success in their field. The goal is for visitors to learn from and be inspired by the work of others - in business, in the arts, in sports, in life - in general. I hope to highlight not just the successes they've achieved but the failures they've overcome. Ultimately, all interviews will be sponsored and a donation made to the foundation of choice for the interviewee so...the parmfarm is, in a sense, a co-op of information and ideas, which is why i am aiming for oprah.
This is the mission statement:
The mission of THE PARMFARM is to promote professional and personal growth by learning from those who are outstanding in their ‘fields’: entrepreneurs, artists, authors and activists. Award-winning journalist Amy Parmenter invites her guests to bring water from their wells and tools from their sheds, dig deep and plant seeds of inspiration, providing food for thought to all who stop by.
broad audience because there will be a broad range of topics so...men and women...let's say 30-80. but, if i had to guess...more likely male than female...more likely older than younger.
i want the parmfarm logo to be warm, yet professional. l like the feel of the logo for the parkerhouse inn in vermont, just as an idea.
obviously, the name parmfarm is a play on my name...amy parmenter. and, i like the idea of a farm as being a very nurturing place where we 'grow'. the tag line will be 'Stop by. Grow.' Though that does not have to be included in the logo.
i definitely like simple rather than busy.
i have noticed that the clip art of an old microphone looks like an ear of corn, or rows of corn if lined up...perhaps that could be incorporated...but certainly not a must. i have noticed that i like goudy stout, castellar, algerian, and wide latin fonts.
the one thing some of the designs have been missing, which isn't critical but it would be good if i fell in love with a design that had it is a microphone or some reference to it being an interview/media site.
