We're building a marketing platform for the food and beverage industry. Our clients include organic and specialty producers whose websites you can link to from our homepage http://www.thentic.com.
We're here to promote the best companies and their products; we believe the best companies are those who have the most transparency into their production practices.
We also host Tasting Events where we help consumers forge real relationships with producers. You can see pictures of our events by hitting the facebook link on our homepage too...
For those of you who have read Omnivore's Dilemna, we're building the application that builds on Pollan's suggestions by helping people make more informed decisions and helping them find the kind of producers/retailers/products they want to support.

Our target audience is the typical urban yuppies. Late 20's to mid 40's, predominantly female, middle to high income, like great food, but doesn't necessarily understand why. Would like to be more certain about purchasing decisions, likes the environment, etc...
Not a lot of requirements. We're open to ideas. You can see the logo we're using now, not much of one. Color scheme is open too, but shades of green and brown seem to test well.
Free associate with "authentic". That's the whole point of our site/business.
The logo will be used in print and online.
