'HOOPSFIX' and HOOPSFIX.COM
http://www.balldontbrawl.co.uk is rebranding to HOOPSFIX.COM to represent a change in direction. With that new direction, comes a full rebrand that is centred around a new logo that I KNOW you guys will come up with!
HOOPSFIX.COM will be the biggest British basketball site on the web, centred around video, but also featuring interviews, articles and news. It has a very urban 'down with the kids' feel, hip-hop/basketball lifestyle (slang is used throughout the website).
The main target audience are the urban basketball youth of Britain, predominantly in the 16-25 age bracket. They're the kinda cats that wear big baggy clothes, hooded tops and always have a basketball under their arm. The audience are those that have a basketball lifestyle.
I'm after something simple but hugely effective, and very brandable...the kinda thing you can see a big corporation owning...
Because the site revolves around all things British, I'm thinking it makes sense to use the colours of the GB flag and incorporate it somehow...-blue white and red..an example logo I LOVE is the British basketball logo (attached)
Another example of use of the flag is the British handball logo (attached)
The patriotic British flag feel is definitely something I'm after. Type in any "british (sport name) logo" from Team GB into google and you can see the kinda feel I'm after...
If you'd like an alternernative to that and think it would look better plainer, I'm feeling black and white..
A logo I like if you'd like to attempt that look is Ballers Network, which is attached
So that's kinda all I have...I'm hoping you can work off that and come up with something SIIIIICKCKK!? lol..
One of the big requirements is that there needs to be a HOOPSFIX.COM version and a HOOPSFIX version as I will need to use both.
The logo will be used as a watermark on video's as well so needs to not be too detailed.
Feedback will be given on ALL designs, please feel free to ask should you have any queries or are unsure about anything.
This is also an opportunity to secure further work as I will be looking for regular design work in the future and am always up for forming lasting relationships :)
