GunZoo.com is a new company that will revolutionize the auction market for firearms and accessories. We want to hit the scene with a very fresh, clean and contemporary look. A look that breaks machismo ridden stereotypes and is accessible to all.
The “zoo” part of the name is in reference the myriad firearms on the market today. There is tremendous diversity and selection, and within our site you will find them all (very similar to a traditional zoo).
Our primary customers will be military, law enforcement, sportsmen (and women) and collectors. Additionally, we want to reach potential gun owners who may be new to the idea and might be intimidated by the resources currently available. These folks may be the 20-somethings who are very tech savvy and have high expectations for design. Put another way, we are building a site that utilizes the latest technology and takes advantage of the latest social trends, and we are looking for a logo that will represent that spirit.
We do not currently have a logo or brand and we’re very open to creativity.
The total design should include “GunZoo” or “gunzoo” (it’s always one word) and some type of image. We would also like to be able to easily separate the GunZoo text from the image, in the event the design isn’t one in the same.
Colors: We haven’t selected colors, although the palette should be contemporary and clean. It might be helpful to see your design in two or three different color schemes and on various backgrounds. In the military realm, for example, all unit logos have a full color and subdued (earth tones) design. That’s not required but it may provide some inspiration.
Text: No real preferences here, as long as GunZoo is one word. It shouldn’t be goofy, corporate or intimidating.
Image: The logo should include some kind of graphic. But please do not feel obligated to include a gun or zoo animals. I’m not opposed to it if it looks cool, but don’t get hung up on it. Again, the look shouldn’t be intimidating. If you’re feeling compelled to create a mascot (please, no maniacal grizzly bears with hockey masks), we’ll definitely take a look.
