CLIMB is the acronym for a large-scale, long-term study of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). It stands for Comprehensive Longitudinal Investigation of Multiple Sclerosis at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Partners MS Center. MS is a chronic, sometimes disabling autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
CLIMB will enroll 5000 subjects with MS and follow them for 20 years. The goals of CLIMB are to identify predictors of disease course and determine the effects of treatment on disease progression and accumulation of disability
