API New Media is an organization that uses new forms of media, internet, podcast, online video, etc... to reach and communicate with its constituencies about matters of government and public policy. They have as a goal to share unbiased and clear information that typically does not make mainstream media such as TV, Radio or newspapers.
The logo should be contemporary and reflect the digital format inherent to what they produce. Colors should lend themselves toward trust but not be cliché or tired. The logo should be appealing to both men and women, young and old: but the target audience is women with children aged 30-50. This group is key in the distribution of API new media video clips and web site url and other content via their own email and social, social media networks.
Useage: the logo and type treatment will be used in print BUT the primary use will be online and broadcast application as a computer graphic. Requirements of the logo will be having a simplicity that translates well on screen but stands on its own. On air the logo, type and mark can have any color and gradient as the designer sees fit. In print application not more than 2 color and a one color application will be critical. Simple is better.
