Despite Urban Dictionary's definition, in Australia and England, 'cheeky, cheeky' is a phrase a mother might say to a mischievous child, or two adults may say to each other in good humor, a little bit like 'naughty, naughty' but the finger wagging is ironic, and no one's really in trouble. Being cheeky can be cute and playful.
Our brand will carry funny, ironic messages with pictures, inspired by the (early) Simpsons, the Daily Show, Headline Shirts and the Onion. However, our shirts strive to have excellent design, to be worn by anyone from precocious, world-aware teens, to older people who want to ware a message they care about in a humorous way.
Our logo has to convey that it’s in good humor, but in a mature and sophisticated way: no comic sans or clip art! It’s also unisex.
Although we're called 'Cheeky Cheeky Threads', the emphasis should just be on the words 'cheeky cheeky', with threads as a much less important part of the information.
Please surprise me with ideas. I've attached some ironic finger wagging, but don't feel any pressure to this image in the logo. It's just an approximation of the feel.
To see some examples of designs being called for head to the t-shirt competitions. There are currently three competitions open.
Can you combine humour and style to create a cheeky, cheeky logo?
Many thanks for your submissions.
