I'm a designer working for a fast-growing pharmaceutical company, but obviously can't get through everything... and logos aren't a strong point of mine.
I've been tasked by a division within the company that promotes FOUR brands of medication – a HIV drug, one for prostate cancer, one for the RSvirus in infants, and an anaesthetic.
We're a passionate team of people at the forefront of pharmaceutical innovation, and this is the main point to latch onto. We come from a culture that goes above and beyond to make life better for those living with certain diseases and illnesses.

We do not market directly to the public, but rather doctors and physicians who prescribe our products to the patients. These medical professionals are alert to current trends in medical publications, so we would like to stand out with something eye-catching that makes them sit up and take notice of this group.
The other audience are internal employees who need a reference point for material and products looked after by the Specialty Care team.
Need a dynamic and modern logo that captures the spirit of what this group does for the people who use their products – (ie. makes life easier and worth living!)
A mascot character would be awesome, but not essential.
The group’s name – Abbott Specialty Care – must sit under one of the slogans (not set in stone, so if you have a better idea.....):
- make life better
- go the extra mile
- set a benchmark
- raise the bar
- for a better life
Colours: purple (Pantone 2645 C, 2583 C, 2602 C – any or all of those), black, white – but willing to accept other colour schemes.
Would be great if the 4 areas were represented as the logo...
