We are overwhelmed by the amount of submissions so far. Unfortunately the overall quality of submissions is rather low. Please only submit your own idea and don't copy others. There's a reason why we haven't given any more than 2 stars until now. Your chance to come close is definitely by a new idea, not by copying. We know we would have better set the contest to private but we can't change that now. Please read the below briefing carefully and try to match our requirements. If you don't think you can do better than the currently active designs then there's no sense in submitting - thank you!
--- initial briefing ---
Please note: The upcoming redesign of the Blog/Website will be a very lightweight, open design with a primary white background. That's where the logo is used as website logo of course but also in image watermarks and on some elements (please see the note about icons and illustrations on the bottom)
What we would like to see are Logos with a strong focus on Typography where the Brand name "Stempelwiese" should have the highest weight of course. There are several sublines that are possible like:
- by Steffi Helmschrott
- Stampin' Up! since 2009
- Handmade with love
For the colors we think a single color approach would be good, the logo should work in dark color on a bright background and vice versa. Though it would be imaginable to have an accent color that can change based on the case where the logo is used. Also the Logo may be used on patches of water color or similar elements where it should work perfectly.
Another idea would be to have interchangeable elements based on seasonal events or other circumstances like a heart, a snow flake for winter, a flower for spring. Paper crafting and stamping is quite influenced by seasonal events so it would be great to have this reflected in the logo some more examples:
- sun (summer)
- leafs (fall)
- eggs (easter)
For the Logo type itself we would very much prefer a customized font/type that is also commercially available. This way we would make sure to be safe on the license side and could also have the font used in places other than the logo to support the logo.
We don't have any "perfect fonts" that we have found so far but we do like the basic style of Handwritten, Vintage type logos.
Also it would be good to have an image element that also could be used standalone in areas where the wider text format doesn't work (like social media avatars). We don't have any preferences what this image part may look like and are keen to see your ideas here.
Please note: We are here for frequent feedback at normal, European office hours (CET +1) and on the weekends. Please expect frequent and detailled feedback.
Also we expect that we need further design work in the process of the website redesign in the near future. Especially on our mind here are illustrations and icons that should match the logo.
