I recently retired from 35 years in private practice dentistry. I knew my profession well. The business side of it came not from education but by trial and error which is too common in healthcare practices. I strongly feel doctors need to learn how to become a business owner over a practice owner. This site will shorten their time searching for business solutions and help them become a more business savvy healthcare provider.
U.S. healthcare doctors: physicians, dentists, podiatrists, optometrists, chiropractors
This site may be more relevant for doctors under 55. Doctors admittedly feel they are elitist; so this site will appeal to the exclusivity of doctors only with no advertising and companies pushing their programs. It is meant to provide constant information related to business decisions and success involving finance, practice management, marketing, healthcare in politics, and insurance issues. There will be webinars with leaders in the areas mentioned, groups for the different areas of healthcare with subgroups of those areas of business, rss feeds in all areas and blogs from leaders. It will be the only site available that through surveys all healthcare doctors can have their voice heard as one and not splintered in their individual areas.
In short, I plan on having a one-stop area where doctors can concentrate their information related to their business health. Their time is usually limited, and I don't want them searching all over the internet.
Looking for a unique look that does not include photos or stock clip art. All the areas of healthcare have their own version of a caduceus, and I don't think it would be smart to connect the caduceus with money. The connection is learning more about business and making better business decisions. Possibly green creates a feeling of wealth with contrast in color for lettering. This might be better as a word generated logo. I just don't want any icon to make a connection that it's about doctors making money. That's a bad perception.
