Powder Trails & Husky Tails
Powder Trails & Husky Tails is a vacation lodging and concierge services company in Breckenridge Colorado. The business was founded in 2010 to enrich the lives and success of our owners and guests. We represent owners who want us to manage their homes, matching vacationers to their homes for short term rentals. Additionally, we provide concierge services to guests such as acquiring groceries, making reservations for events and restaurants, provide assistance with things to do in the area, etc. Our goal is for guests to have an extraordinary experience.
Chris & Deb Conway, the owners, have 25+ years of professional business experience. We want to set the tone of fun and relaxation in the great outdoors because that is what vacationing is all about. There has to be a balance of professionalism because this is a business. Having fun, shared relationships, integrity and professionalism are core values of the organization.
Breckenridge, CO has 2 primary seasons, winter and summer. Powder Trails & Husky Tails will attract vacationers for both seasons.
There are 2 primary audiences we are trying to reach, owners of property in Breckenridge and vacationers. The primary focus of marketing will be to the vacationer. We feel that the tone and image we set for the vacationer part of the business will resonate well with the owners because owners want to know that we are reaching vacationers which in turn lead to rental income for the owner.
Powder Trails & Husky Tails needs a fun but professional logo. Our vision of the logo started as a cartoon husky upright on a snowboard with sunglasses (think Disney’s Snow Dogs movie for the sunglasses image). However, we do not want to limit the image to winter sports only. The idea evolved to the husky image being used throughout marketing efforts such as skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, shopping and bar hopping. If it is fun, we will market it with the image.
The image could evolve to animated short video clips.
We want an original artwork for the husky image. The company name and the image should make up the logo. We would want to extract the image to display on its own.
We want the logo in a vector format that can be read by Adobe Photoshop.
See the following website for pictures of husky for inspiration on colors and markings. The pictures at the following website are mine and you have my permission to download and manipulate for the purpose of this contest. The logo will be used in stationary, business cards, web and print advertising.
