Paul John (Salon)
Hi there! And, thanks for clicking on this design opportunity. My name is Paul and I'm in the middle of opening a new hair salon.
I'm 39 and enjoy fashion and design...my dress reflects an upscale and trendy look. That is the clientele I would be targeting, and thus I am planning on an upscale and trendy look to the salon.
Our mission statement focuses on providing a personalized hair and beauty experience--one that is fashion forward, individually stylish (i.e. hair, clothing, makeup), and dedicated to our cleints' physical and emotional well-being.
We will be targeting the existing audience that currently goes to the salon. However, we are redoing the fixtures, the look, the culture, and name of the salon.
The average age of the customers is about 35-40 years old.
I want to target the 30 - 50 year old segment who are an upscale clientele and expect the very best in the beauty experience and service we would provide. This does not mean we would push away the 20-29 year olds...I just think the 30-50 would be more representative of our clientele.
I want a trendy, clean, catchy logo that reflects not only the name of the salon, but the trendy and upscale culture I'm looking to build....as well as reflecting our mission--primarily being fashion forward, and individually stylish.
As far as the name goes, I'm open to "Paul John" or "Paul John Salon".
I'm leaning to only having "Paul John", with a tagline underneath....with clean lettering and lines....maybe something as simple as black letters on white background.
For example,
-------------------------------------------------
Paul John
...Where style and hair collide...
--------------------------------------------------
I have a drawing of some simplistic logos that I did, incorporating the P and the J. I've attached for your review.
I think I'd like to have a logo like this...From a marketing standpoint, I think it catches the eye and I can also brand the logo on color cape, smocks, employee shirts, etc.
I also did a second one with a hair logo (acting as the 'P'), but I don't think it's clean enough...or whether people would "get" it.
Having said that, I am open to any other ideas you may have.
Finally, I would need the winning entry in .PSD and .JPG formats, along with the typset and font for the wording so I can continue to use it in future emails, documents, or presenations.
Thanks for your help,
Paul
