"Touching Lives Across Canada" (our tag line)
would be nice to be able to associate our tag line with the logo whenever we want, but also have a logo that can stand separate.
Desire to have our acronym "CanASK" associated with the logo.
Needs to look good in color, important need for it to look sharp in black&white. As a non profit, the colour scheme needs to be set up to be economical to print, perhaps tone on tone?
We want our logo to exude values of:
Healing, Balance/Equilibrium, Integration, Trust, Competence, Professionalism, Relief (from physical, emotional, mental pain), Inclusive, Softness, subtle connection to Yin/Yang, perhaps subtle Canadian,
we are somewhat attached to the idea of "hands" in the design - actual or stylized.
We are also about Education, Customizing each session to each client... have no idea if this can even be conveyed in a logo...
Our intended audience: people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired... who have chronic pain or dysfunction; need to be heard; who value self-empowerment; who are ready to take charge of their own wellness and participate in their healing journey.
While we typically have more female clientele than male, and we lean a bit more toward softness than hardness, we don't want anything too feminine in design... prefer gender neutral.
We are NOT fluffy "New Agey" despite our modalities being based on ancient energy healing such as acupuncture and chakras - they have been updated and blended with modern research of chiropractic, physical therapy.
To get a feel / background on what we do - our Mission and Vision statements are near the top of our home page: http://www.canask.org (notice the 'more' links which will expand the one sentence summation.)
(Be aware our current website is an interim project, we are not attached to any of the current colours/banners, etc... we plan on a complete 'branding' and await a logo to inspire us).
On the home page we also attempt to describe "Specialized Kinesiology"; and on our drop down menu, from "Class Info"/"Aspects" we describe benefits common to the various modalities practiced by our members (Muscle Balancing, Brain Integration, Emotional Stress Release).
Please help us step into the Millenium.
