The Leading EDGE Seminars at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business give Duke graduate students an in-depth look at cutting-edge issues, trends, methodologies, and practices related to the topics of global energy and corporate sustainability.
Leading EDGE Seminars are more than a speaker series. The seminars bring together industry experts, academic thought leaders, and graduate students to engage in combination of lecture, facilitated working group discussion, and networking. The seminars complement Duke's Energy & Environment academic curriculum by engaging students in timely, contemporary energy and environmental management applications. Seminars cover topics ranging from global energy market economics and finance to value chain sustainability, carbon markets, and energy technology commercialization and entrepreneurship.

The target audience for the Leading EDGE Seminar Series is hundreds of Duke University graduate students across numerous schools including, Business, Environment, Law, Public Policy, & Engineering. This audience is inundated with email and social media and messaging. We are looking for a logo that pops out to this audience that is intellectually curious but concerned about going to only the most worth-while events. They are busy but smart and - most importantly- care passionately about the world and the future of energy, development and the environment.
The logo should reflect the mission of EDGE and should be attractive to a young (20-30 year old) audience. Duke colors and the Blue Devil mascot can be integrated into the design but they do not need to be. The designer is free to be creative but should use clear fonts (so the audience knows that the logo is for the Leading EDGE series and not just for EDGE). The words "Leading EDGE Seminar" must be used.
