New internet start up located in San Francisco. We are in the beginning stages of launching the company are are working to put up our first website by September. We have a 10 year history of working at internet start ups in SF and love really cool websites that help millions of consumers. Our back end database/engine has been completed and we are now looking for the right logo as we begin the website design.

We are launching in San Francisco and will then move to cities like New York, LA, Chicago, etc (large cities are our focus). Ages 21 to 45, male and female, who like to go out to bars and restaruants where they live and work. Our target user will be they same type of person you uses Groupon, Living Social, etc, likes Meetup.com, and other similar websites.
We are particularly looking for people who want to accomplish a personal or professional goal that has relavant meaning to their life. We want to help these people use our service to get the support (ie, money and people) they need by throwing a GoodParty.
It can be difficult and risky to ask for help for the personal and professional goals we are trying to achieve.
We help people get the support they need for the goal they want to achieve...and we do it by throwing a party!
Lets say Amber wants to raise money for a cancer charity she has been involved in (she recently found out her mother has breast cancer). While she wants to get support from her friends and family it´s difficult to go around and ask for money. So instead she uses GoodParty to throw a happy hour event at one of her favortie bars in San Francisco. She sends out a Facebook invite (Evite, or whatever) that includes a GoodParty link. Each person who is planning to attend the happy our event can click on the link and prepurchase their drinks ($20, $30, etc.) and get a receipt they can use when they show up. If collectively Amber and all her friends prepurchase a minimum of $500 before the event starts the bar agrees to give 50% of the proceeds to Amber. This helps Amber get the money (and people support) she needs without having to ask anyone for a "donation". And all her friends get to have fun at happy hour knowing they helping out a friend who they care about. Everyone wins! Now that´s a good party.
