In short: We want a small tweak to one or both of the M’s (e.g. the word Man in the logo, or both Modern and Man) to make it look designed, rather than just typed text. See examples of popular logos I've uploaded of how a small tweak makes a big difference to the text. Full detail: We would like to use the same font as the current design. However, we are also open to a very similar font being used, as long as it doesn’t look playful, boyish or non-serious. The Modern Man is a serious, masculine, professional brand. We take what we do (i.e. help men succeed in all areas of dating and relationships with women) very seriously. So, there should be no cuteness, boyishness or playfulness in the logo. The logo should be serious, masculine and professional. Examples of what we mean by a small tweak to the current design: 1. The subtle tweak of the Upwork logo (where the U and P are linked together) makes it looks unique and not like typed text. We don’t want The Modern Man in the style of the Upwork logo. I’ve just given that as an example of a small tweak that makes it appear designed, rather than looking like typed text. 2. The Reebok logo has an R that drops lower than the rest of the text, therefore making it look designed, rather than just being typed text. We won't want something that drops lower though because that doesn't signify progress, achievement, etc. Instead, it would be something going higher, or going to the right to signify progress, leveling up, etc. 3. The SanDisk logo has a modified D. 4. The FedEx logo joins the d and E and each word is in a different color. 5. Microsoft logo has the f and t connected. 6. Amazon logo has the delivery/smile arrow with a modification to the z. 7. Visa has the modified V. 8. Red Bull have removed part of the R and B. We are also open to looking at a completely new way to present the 3 words The Modern Man in a concise manner. We do like the idea of having ’The’ above ‘Modern Man’ to save space, but there may be another way to do it (e.g. left of logo and vertical) that you come up with. We are open to seeing what is possible and choosing that if it works. Specifics: - We only want vertically angled M’s in the logo, rather than M’s in the logo being on an angle. No M’s on an angle. - If the A’s are lowercase, they need to be a ‘double storey a’ rather than a ‘single story a’. - The tweaks shouldn't reduce readability/make the words difficult to read. It should feel like something that makes sense, looks good or adds a positive meaning the logo. Things not to include: Love hearts, men and women, traditional dating imagery or icons, arrows, ticks, gender symbols, ties, suits, fashion. Also, no box or border around the logo. Brand feel: It’s important that the logo expresses the feel of the brand correctly. The Modern Man is a serious, masculine, professional brand. So, there should be no cute, sweet, playful or boyish elements to the logo. When guys learn from The Modern Man, they become successful with women, dating and relationships. They also become more confident, manly and level up in life in many ways. So, *if possible* the small tweak(s) or the design you come up with, should reflect the fact that a man levels up, wins, gets what he wants.
