NIGHTINGALE NATURALS
we are a niche company that sells all natural hand care products for well washed and well worked hands. Nightingale originated from Florence Nightingale. Co founder of company is a nurse. our ingredients are 100% naturally derived and we don't use any petroleum or parabens in our products
Target audience is predominately female- gardeners, nurses, other healthcare professionals or anyone who continuously works with or washes their hands.
We are looking for a clean, simple and classy logo that needs to be scalable for our smaller labels.
The logo has to be inline with the newsletter colour scheme and font selection and inline with the REMEDY hand cream label mockups that we've provided. We really want to marry / compliment the logo with the label and newsletter in terms of font, colour, and aesthetics over all. The newsletter represents the colour scheme we are using for our website as well.
We are looking for something that is botanical, vegetal and vibrant looking in terms of the use of colour. The logo image should represent vibrant and alive sprigs like the life in the sprig itself. We don't want it too animated or one dimensional. We would like to see something that is more like a stylized image like the olive image in our newsletter that works into the NIGHTINGALE type. And possibly some shading behind the image to create some depth and focal point like the image is floating (similar to the olive image/photo provided). Very subtle shading. We prefer a white backdrop but would like to entertain the reverse image and font on a green backdrop as well for our future men's line label.
We like the elongated dark green sprig in the olive image in our newsletter and like the colour in the additional olive image provided. We've also selected four images that represent the colours we like: the olive images, the lotus flower, and the reddish orange freesia photo with green and yellow tones in the leaf structure.
We use alot of the fruit and nut type carrier oils in our products such as apricot, avocado, olive, jojoba, sweet almond and coconut. We are thinking of something that represents these oils like an olive. The dark brownish colour or light greenish colour of the olive fruit would look cool as the dot on the ' I ' in nightingale and incorporate that with some life like sprigs that I mentioned earlier in the centre of NIGHTINGALE. I'll make reference to this in the all designer comments section. We like the layout of the logo samples that we chose because of their simplicity in design and the incorporation of a design with font. NOT looking for too flowery, NO BIRDS, NO BUTTERFLIES please and trees are out!. Definately looking toward more of the elongated sprigs of green, like the sprigs in the olive image from newsletter, on a small branch with a fruit/nut type focal point.
Hope this helps! We've extended our selection time because we are getting a better sense now of what we like and are looking for based on some of the great samples we've already viewed.
PANTONE colour range selections that we like but would entertain some variances for artistic licence:
120, 122, 141, 1215, 583, 584, 585, 5757, 390.
Dark brown ok for nut/olive
