I am an entrepreneur that is almost ready to launch a new web service to connect companies and organizations with temporary and part time workers. To start off it will be a search engine that allows employers to search for their perfect "temp" based on their criteria. I am looking to have a similar "simple" but "playful" feel to Google which has a very simple platform but a playful logo that changes with the occasion (Google examples: http://bit.ly/c8da2U ).
The main site is aimed at companies and organizations who regularly hire temp or part time workers. These companies can be large firms with clerical work, companies that exhibit at trade shows that need help in their booth, companies who hire seasonal professionals and others.
The site will also be friendly to the temp workers which are students, professionals looking for seasonal work and people looking for part time work.
I am looking for a very simple logo for a new website. The logo should be unique to the company and use negative space to create a unique image.
Some Examples of Logos that I like are:
Google – Very simple and distinct. The whole logo is just the name but if you look at the letter or the colors, you see Google right away.
FedEx – I Like the use of the letters and space to form the arrow between the “E” and the “X”. Even if this font was common, the use of space would make this logo unique.
McDonalds – McDonald’s “M” is recognizable from anywhere. Anyone who sees the “M” thinks of the company right away. They’ve also marketed the brand like crazy but the look is still very unique.
Some examples of “negative” space can be found at the following links:
The name of the site is "Temphunt" as in a "hunt" for "temp workers", where the "temp" is the worker/employee and the "hunter" is the employer. Feel free to play around with the "hunting for temps" idea and image but please stay away from guns and anything violent. I'd like to keep it playful.
I have attached a screen shot of the site as it is now. I am looking to place the logo above the search bar instead of the "looking to hire?". I would also like a slogan (or at least an option for one) underneath the logo. The working slogan is "Your Source for Temps" but could change. The colors should work with the current design but don't hesitate to submit alternate colors if you feel that they would work better.
