Bars Media Documentary Film Studio

We are documentary film studio located in Armenia. Bars Media produces- well-researched, clear-cut documentaries.

The topics portrayed in our films include arts and culture, education, history, ethnic and environmental issues, the reality of war, and the human dimensions of a region experiencing post-Soviet transitions.

The BBC (Great Britain), ARTE (Germany, France), WDR (Germany), YLE (Finland), ITVS (USA), NTV (Russia), and NHK (Japan) are some of the major broadcasters who have distributed our films.

The logo will be used in almost all our paperwork, emails, website, and film materials. Our target audiences are the television and distribution companies who would be interested in our films. These companies will span the entire globe as they have in the past, so the logo needs to be universal. In the future there is a possibility that we may animate the logo.

Our original logo is from old Armenian petroglyph featuring the globe and its people, and it clearly represented our vision at the time. But now we’re looking for something more modern, yet simple. We still want to incorporate the original petroglyph, we only ask that you modify the placement of the text and enhance the old logo. Letters should all be the same size (either all caps or all lower case). And the text should read “BARS MEDIA FILMS” and another one with “BARS MEDIA DOCUMENTARY FILM STUDIO.”

Attached are some examples of logos received in the past we have liked and not liked, and also the original petroglyph globe logo for you to use. Our previous logo was created when we had graphic designers in house, but we have since closed down that department to focus more on documentary films.

Currently we are holding this contest for the modernization of our logo, and if successful we will also be holding a contest for our new website.
