Carbon Dylan is an upmarket sustainable clothing line that currently focuses on selling premium jeans to men who have great fashion taste. We source denim from organic cotton mills and handpick our manufacturers with operations that consistently conform to fair-trade, fair-labour, and environmentally-sustainable protocols. The word "Carbon" in the brand name serves as a reminder of our individual carbon footprints, and the ways open to us to lighten our own burdens on Earth's resources. Dylan, meaning "son of the sea", symbolizes the individual that epitomizes what our brand stands for - bold and impassioned stylishness that doesn't compromise our responsibility to the Earth.
While we eventually plan to expand our reach to include a denim line for women, Carbon Dylan's current marketing target audience are men, aged roughly 20 to 35, who indulge in high-quality, well-fitting, and beautiful clothes, and who also appreciate efforts towards sustainable practices.
The logo should hence have a design that caters to tastes of these consumers. We are looking for something that is clean, sleek, and modern, without over-embellishments in the design. We also intend to have the logo printed/embossed on a leather patch on the jeans. Likewise, the design should also be suitable to be re-purposed to appear on other fashion apparel (for example, T-shirts, underwear, bags, etc.)
