stereowagon is working to put the music industry back in the hands of musicians. I want to save the world from the terror of MySpace and the tyranny of iTunes by making it easy for musicians to self-promote online and for fans to find new underground bands they'll love.
Check us out at http://www.stereowagon.com for a better look at what we do and our current style. Don't feel constrained to design within that palette, though. We'll re-work around the winning design.
Musicians and music fans.
I'm looking for a logo that captures the do it yourself attitude of independent music, but retains the character of the artist. I may even be interested in profiling the winning designer on the site. Ideally, the winning logo would work in both color and black&white. I'd also prefer the logo to work both with and without the word stereowagon.
My current vision for the logo is a 'radio-flyer' style child's wagon, stacked full of speakers. I'm not married to this idea, though, and would love to see other ideas. A play on station wagon perhaps?
As for style, I'm interested in something clean and bold, with limited colors and bold line work. Graffiti stencil art has some of these qualities. I'm open to other styles, but would love to see work in this vein.
