Grand Itasca is one of rural Minnesota’s few non-profit, independent, multi-specialty healthcare facilities. We are driven by a strong desire to provide our community with the best in multi-specialty care. Our progressive delivery system includes providers in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Psychology, Urology, Radiology and Chiropractics.
In December of 2005, Grand Itasca began a new era in health care delivery with the opening of its new integrated clinic and hospital facility. This 183,000 square-foot facility, located on 76 scenic acres along the Mississippi River in Grand Rapids, has 64 beds. Of those, 14 are for acute rehabilitation, 34 for medical/surgical and pediatrics, 10 for critical and intensive care, along with six suites in women’s health and birth. The new facility also paved the way for shared resources in radiology, lab and other key services, all located in a central diagnostic center. The diagnostic center includes a state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanner, MRI and several other cutting edge technologies. Our new facility refreshes, renews and inspires those who move through and use the space. It enables patients to recover in an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and hospitality that is true to the Northern Minnesota way of life.
The Vision of Grand Itasca: Grand Itasca will lead the transformation of rural health care to achieve the highest of quality, access and affordability.
The Mission of Grand Itasca: To deliver compassionate and high quality health care services that improve the quality of life of our patients, physicians, and the community we serve.
