“bücherengel.org” (German for “book angel”; Bücher = books, Engel = angel)
We are a German charity organization selling books online. The proceeds of the books are being donated to underprivileged children. The neat thing is that as a customer you can indirectly donate money without actually paying a premium for the books, as we finance ourselves through commissions granted by the online book shops we work with.

Our target audience are people and companies that buy books online; so pretty much everybody. But please have in mind that the customers visiting our website are probably well educated and care about social affairs. They most likely have above average incomes and are at least older than 20 (and probably mostly aged 25-60).
We are looking for a simple and clear logo that has a sympathetic and likeable appeal. It shouldn’t be too complicated and should express trustworthiness. In no way should it be pitiful (so please don’t play with suffering children or anything near that). The customer should have an uplifting feeling because of “doing a good thing” while buying books as he actually always did before. Our concept is rather easy to understand and has almost something of “too good to be true” to it. So customers have to be convinced that we are honest and won’t use with their money for other things.
If you include our name in the logo, please use the full name “bücherengel.org”, not just “bücherengel”.
We will use this logo as the major visual in our communication and on the website. As a background color you might want to use white or another light colour.
