Storyboard TV is an online community of writers, readers, and television watchers that believes in the power of episodic, fictional television to document, enhance, and transform people’s lives for the better.
Our website will be a place where writers with new tv pilots can post scripts and solicit feedback from an online community of writers and fans. We're launching in February with a $5k cash prize to the best script, which will then go into development with our production company.
If you’re tired of seeing great fiction lose air time to reality tv, or of watching the same old story line get played out on every crime procedural, or have found that its getting harder to justify to all of your friends just WHY you watch television, then Storyboard TV is for you.
Our site will be for fiction television writers and television watchers - people who are excited about the art form and want to have a hand in creating the next big narratives.
storyboard TV refers to a number of things:
1. an online bulletin board for stories
2. "storyboarding" - the picture layout that filmmakers create before shooting
I'm attaching some files of designs we've been working on, playing with the theme of the storyboard. So you can see where we've been - though you'll notice, we're not quite there... Which is why we're enlisting your help.
Should be fun, easy breezy, and sort of minimalist. Should try to referece or elicit positive feelings about writing, community, great television, etc.
