Julia Clowney, LICSW / Good Thinking Therapy / Holistic. Empowering. Forward moving.
My website is a must read for my designer: http://www.goodthinkingtherapy.com
I'm a psychotherapist in St. Paul MN. I have a private practice. I am holistic in my approach -- often suggesting alternative means of supporting the therapy I do with clients, such as homeopathy, yoga, acupuncture. I am very comfortable working with clients who have depression or anxiety or stress who do not want to use medications. My approach is based in Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral and Eastern wisdom, including spiritual wisdom.
I present myself as (and truly am, in three states in fact) a licensed psychotherapist who could see anyone... however, I do have a very open mind about the way the world works and prefer to see people who are not using medication or who want to get off it. I LOVE helping people find their spiritual answers inside of their daily life struggles. I I have studied homeopathy, yoga, meditation, kabbalah, quantum physics, etc. Not your usual background for a therapist. So I really have two faces -- conventional therapy vs. holistic, spiritual discovery with my clients. I don't want to turn off/away "regular" clients -- but I want my logo/design to show that I have a different approach. I am more than happy to answer any questions about me and my practice over email or phone.
People looking for a therapist who may hesitate to seek "conventional" help. People who may want to avoid medication for their depression or anxiety or may want to get off meds they are currently on. Mid to upper class people who either have insurance or can afford my fee. Spiritual folks, holistic folks, "green" folks, emotionally intelligent folks who are depressed, anxious, overwhelmed with life events or those just needing direction with the question " is there any more than this"?
I want my name to be most prominent. I am trying to move away from the name of my practice (the website name, good thinking therapy) to my own name. So the nect biggest element is Good Thinking Therapy. And I want to include the "tag line" in the design so that at a glance people see my name with the words "Holistic. Empowering. Foward moving." I want this to be visible and eye-catching.
And finally a unique beautiful logo that fits with the written elements. I'm willing to see whatever you can come up with.
The five elements are:
1. My name and credentials: Julia Clowney, LICSW
2. my title: Licensed Psychotherapist
3. Good Thinking Therapy
4. The tag line: Holistic, Empowering and Forward Moving
5. And a beautiful, unique logo/design piece
Please note these preferences:
~ I don't want anything that creates use of the initials, so no JC, or GTT logos, please.
~ No black backgrounds, please.
~ No clip art or stock photos.
~ I'm looking for a unique and beautiful logo as part of the design -- possibly colorful, with an Eastern feel. Not too girly.
I need a digital file of whatever I pick so that I can bring it to a printer for business cards (which i can easily design myself once I have this new design), stationery and brochure. And also I need to email it to my website guy.
