We are a startup based in Hong Kong which provides 'wine as a service' to restaurants here and across Asia. We use a high-tech 'smart-cellar' to manage and control world class wine programs across hundreds of locations, making the restaurants' lives easier.
We focus on these advantages: wine program development, wine lists, storage, training, inventory management and enhanced profitability.

Our target audience is primarily b2b. Restaurants (both Chinese and Western) who have wine programs but are looking to enhance profitability while reducing risk and complexity. These are initially based in Hong Kong, but will soon be in China, Singapore, Australia, etc.
Many of these people will be unsure about the new offering as it is a market first. We need to convey trust balanced with inquisitive insight.
This logo will be deployed both on b2b correspondence, as well as on customer facing wine lists.
We would like to have this logo be a maximum of three colors, probably in a rich red as the primary color. It should look equally strong on the web, in print and embroidery.
I have included a basic mock-up that we are using in the interim, but feel free to elaborate/suggest entirely new concepts. This was intended to emulate wines in a cellar, hopefully bridging language difficulties endemic to this region (English, Cantonese, Putonghua, etc.)
We will want to engage the winning designer in giving us a set of letterhead, business cards and a .ppt template. We may need more in the future as well.
We refuse to consider any 'splashing wine' or 'wine glass' motifs as they are totally played out!
