Serlio Software builds requirements management software that helps software project teams build the right software the first time. Our product, CaseComplete, is used by business analysts, software developers and business stakeholders to collaborate on what they want to accomplish in an project and build a complete vision around that.
We're a small, agile company based out of Metro Milwaukee Wisconsin where casual Friday lasts all week and there's always beer in the fridge.
Most of our users are business analysts and project managers that spend a lot of time in meetings and working in office productivity tools like Word and Excel. They are generally well educated, well read and quick witted.
If you’ve ever used Office 2010, you’ve seen the “backstage” area – that’s the space that you see when you choose the File menu option (Image1.png).
You’ll notice that there’s a blue decorative “Swoop” in the lower right hand corner. That swoop is claimed as a trademark by Microsoft, and we’d like to have our own decorative ornament in that same part of the application window that distinctively identifies us and our product (we’ll call that the “backstage graphic” from here).
The original "swoop" graphic for the backstage image is attached for reference (BlueBackstageBgImage.png); submissions should be the same dimensions.
The backstage graphic should be understated, abstract and have some texture and depth to it (kind of like the rest of the graphics in Windows 7). It should NOT be the same kind of triangular corner fill since that’d be too similar to Microsoft’s graphic. Color should be complementary to the light blue theme of CaseComplete but need not be that shade of blue. CaseComplete screenshot attached as Image2.png. The product logo is attached as Image3.png for inspiration but your design doesn't necessarily have to incorporate it.
