We are an investment banking boutique specializing in Technology, Media and Telco sector based in Sydney, Australia. We work with early stage and mid-sized companies predominantly in the digital media space. (www.nextec.com.au)

We would like a piece of artwork for our website which can relate to our target audience – we want the artwork to be stylized, quirky and catchy – as creative as it can get. The artwork will be displayed as a banner on our new website's landing page and will be the central theme for our website. We will be using the said piece of artwork as the basis for rest of the website's layout and color scheme. Size specifications - The dimensions of the art work : - Width: 1000 pixels - Height: 260 pixels  And the artwork should be viewable / clear on a standard computer screen with a resolution of 1024*760 What we had in mind - A CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (with a MAD MEN twist) MOVIE POSTERS INSPIRED stylized stick-like/ thin character cartoon theme. We were thinking three- four scene storyboard: - The first scene shows a shareholder on one end of the phone thinking (thinking cloud doodle) about when he can get an exit from the company X he has invested in and on the other end of the phone is the Founder/ CEO of the same company X thinking (thinking cloud doodle) as to how he/she can achieve higher growth – possibly through acquisitions {For the benefit of all, to understand the concept here: Usually in private companies, non-founder investors are seeking opportunities to sell their shares after a period of time (3-5 years) to exit the investment, whereas the CEO and founder shareholders may be still focused on growing the company. So, it can turn into a classic problem case of mis-aligned strategic agenda.} -The second scene shows that the Founder/CEO and shareholders meet Nextec to explore solutions to create and release shareholder value. -The third scene Nextec, CEO and non-founder investors happily agreeing to the growth strategy. All agendas now aligned - maybe , handshakes??  -The fourth scene shows in the backdrop a graph showing sales and profits of X going up, while in the forefront we have the non-founder shareholder and the Founder/ CEO from the first scene toasting champagne glasses at their success This is what we (a bunch of Investment Bankers) -though we pretend to be you can easily guess that we are not a super creative lot:) - could come up with to describe what we need but we highly encourage you to be creative and create your own scenes or ideas

What we would like to see in the artwork - Stylized retro 60s color theme.We do not necessarily need the color scheme to match the logo on our website. What we don’t want to see in the artwork - Stock photos of the Sydney Harbour bridge /Wall Street, Boardroom pictures or trees or mountains or photos of technology devices – phones, satellite tower etc:). Please do not look at other Investment Banking company websites for inspiration! None of those are similar to what we are looking for. Our existing website (www.nextec.com.au) is old and does not represent us and hence, is also not a good point of reference. However, you can refer to our website to know more about what we do.
