The Superhuman Project is an online project were we have one guy in average shape, average fitness, with a few (annoying) allergies and other physical problems (back pain, light hair loss, etc) who is on his mission to transform his body (and therefore his life) within the first 6 months of the launch. The input and guidance comes from acclaimed nutritionists, personal trainers, health gurus and experts in various specific fields.
One of those expert partners up with us every week for a webshow where we talk about their area of expertise and get the to-dos for our “average Joe” on how to handle certain aspects of his body and how he can improve his condition – gradually making his way to being Superhuman. The second weekly post recaps how our candidate is doing and how he follows through with the recommendations. We follow him how he gradually improves his health, fitness, and looks.
Users are invited to join the movement and our candidate and make physical progress together, as a team. Becoming Superhuman.
Our target group is more male than female with an age range primarily between 20 and 40. Our users are educated and concerned about their body and lifestyle.
They are young, dynamic, and strive to optimize their body in every respect to live life to the fullest. They are eager to learn more and put their well-being ahead.
Superhumanproject.com is primarily a blog. We need a lot of space for product/banner placements, which is why a broad right sidebar is very important.
Style-wise we are going for something close to
Be creative. We will enjoy a unique feel & style that embodies our mission of finding uncommon and new strategies to optimize the body and live life more active and awake.
What else we like style-wise: see attached screenshots
• Masthead with logo and internal banner to its right side to announce upcoming specials and provide space for partner announcements
• Main navigation with items Blog and Products. Other items are About, Database, Resources, Contact
• Main content highlights the latest blog post/update as "featured"
• Two types of posts: text and videos (webshows)
I HAVE ATTACHED A VERY BASIC SKETCH OF THE IDEAL DESIGN - it shows that we want a bold look and very graphical header. I have attached a logo that has a relatively similar look and feel for what we want on the left side of the header/logo area. Don't get it wrong: we want no King Kong there, but an somewhat equally bold graphic work and font.
The main content and sidebar are pretty much the opposite of the bold header design and should be very clean (maybe except for a nice graphic font for the featured post).
